Publication of the Third Edition of CSA Standard C22.2 No. 243-01 / UL 1017 Sixth Edition, Vacuum Cleaners, Blower Cleaners, and Household Floor Finishing Machines

This is the third CSA edition of the subject Bi-National Standard, which supersedes the previous edition C22.2 No. 243-96 and fifth edition of UL in 1996 and all of it’s associated documents.
The new Edition of CSA C22.2 No. 243 / UL 1017 contains the following three types of changes:
- Changes that require a review of files and possible retesting. For example: Clause 5.17.2 The appliance shall remain energized during the wire-flexing test.
- Changes that do not require a review of files and retesting. For example: Clause 4.1.1.7 Polymeric parts that do not enclose any live parts are no longer required to be HB rated.
- Miscellaneous, clarifications and editorial changes,
该标准是CSA标准C22.2 No. 243的第3版、UL 1017的第6版，用以取代1996年出版的CSA和UL标准的旧有版本及相关的附属文件。
新标准中主要有3类修改：
第一类为需要重新审核认证报告并有重测可能的修改。例如条款5.17.2，在电线的弯曲测试过程中，要求产品保持通电状态。
第二类为不需要重新审核认证报告的修改。例如条款4.1.1.7，不包裹带电体的聚合塑料部件，不再对其要求HB的阻燃等级。
第三类为版面等自然修改。

Publication of Third Edition of CSA Standard C22.2 No 104-01-Humidifiers
CSA标准 C22.2 No. 104-01 -《增湿器》的发布。
This is the third edition of CSA Standard C22.2 No. 104 (the fourth edition of UL 998).
All new and revised requirements in the new edition of the standard are either editorial in nature or clarification of current requirements and do not require review or retest of currently certified products, except for clause 52.6.
Clause 52.6(d) requires that the leakage current of a product is to be measured, during the time a product cools from thermal stabilization after de-energizing the product, until the leakage current stabilizes.
All CSA Certified products are required to comply with the requirements of Clause 5.26 by November 7, 2003.

新标准的更改主要是对现有条款的整理及版面的自然整改。除条款52.6外，其它更改都要求重新进行结构审查及测试。
条款52.6(d) 规定：增湿器的泄漏电流要在产品达到温度稳定时，切断电源后的冷却阶段中测量。
在2003年11月7日前，所有按CSA旧版本标准认证过的增湿器需要被证明符合条款52.6的要求。 |
